Buckley Sandler Earns Perfect Score in Corporate Equality Index for Third Consecutive Year

Buckley Sandler LLP earned a score of 100 percent in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index, marking the third consecutive year it has achieved a perfect score. The national benchmarking survey assesses corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality. Buckley Sandler was one of 609 businesses nationally to earn a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” ranking.

“Our firm, through our recruitment, retention, and promotion efforts, is committed to sustaining a diverse and inclusive firm culture,” noted Chairman & Executive Partner Andrew L. Sandler. “We are pleased that the Human Rights Campaign continues to recognize our work in fostering a supportive workplace, which has been a key to our success.”

Buckley Sandler’s policies, practices, and structures satisfied all of the CEI’s criteria results, which evaluated LGBTQ-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic-partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

The firm is regularly recognized as a top workplace for attorneys and staff. In July, Buckley Sandler was named a Top Workplace by the Washington Post for the third consecutive year, and earlier this year received the Bar Association of the District of Columbia’s ”Quality of Life Award,” which annually honors select law firms or legal departments that recognize the importance of quality of life, as well as professional excellence.
