Buckley earns perfect score in Corporate Equality Index for fourth consecutive year

Buckley received a perfect score on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index for the fourth consecutive year, making it one of 571 major U.S. businesses to earn top marks this year. The national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

“A diverse and inclusive culture is one of the firm’s sustaining principles, and we reaffirm that commitment through recruitment, retention, and promotion efforts,” said Managing Partner Benjamin B. Klubes. “We are honored that the Human Rights Campaign continues to recognize our work in fostering a supportive workplace.”

Buckley’s policies, practices, and structures satisfied all of the CEI’s criteria results, receiving a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.” The 2019 CEI evaluated LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic-partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

Buckley continues to receive recognition as a “top workplace” for attorneys and staff. For the past four years, the firm was named a Top Workplace by the Washington Post
