Buckley earns perfect score in Corporate Equality Index for fifth consecutive year

Buckley received a perfect score on the 2020 Corporate Equality Index for the fifth consecutive year, making it one of 680 major U.S. businesses to earn top marks this year. The national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

“Buckley is fully committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive culture and we support that commitment through our recruitment, retention, and promotion efforts,” said Managing Partner Benjamin B. Klubes. “We thank the Human Rights Campaign for recognizing our work in fostering a supportive workplace.”

Buckley’s policies, practices, and structures satisfied all of the CEI’s criteria results, receiving a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.” The 2020 CEI evaluated LGBT-related policies and practices, including nondiscrimination workplace protections, domestic-partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

Buckley continues to receive recognition as a “top workplace” for attorneys and staff. For the past five years, the firm was named a Top Workplace by the Washington Post.
