The Know Before You Owe: TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures Rule (“TRID Rule”) and its initial accompanying amendments have now been in effect for several years, and the rule continues to evolve. In response to industry requests, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (“CFPB”) recently finalized two rounds of additional amendments. The first has been dubbed by the industry as “TRID 2.0” and the other has resolved an issue that had been creatively named “the black hole.” The CFPB also released the first highlights of its supervisory activity under TRID.
