Daniel R. Alonso moderated "How to become an AUSA" at the New York City Bar Association Minorities in the Courts Committee “How To” series

Daniel R. Alonso, former federal prosecutor for the Eastern District of New York, moderated a panel discussion and shared qualifications for an application process to become an Assistant United States Attorney. Panelists discussed the diversity efforts and recruiting for these positions, structure of the office, types of cases the offices typically handle, “career path” available in the offices, qualifications sought for the position of Assistant United States Attorney, and the basics of applying to U.S. Attorney's offices.
