The parameters the CFPB built in to its no-action letter proposal likely would make it difficult for smaller firms to submit their potentially market-moving products for the CFPB’s go-ahead, said Benjamin K. Olson, counsel at Buckley Sandler LLP and former high-ranking CFPB official.
"You'll have to invest a lot of resources upfront in preparing the kind of submission the bureau is asking for," he said.
