Biography
John P. Moynihan is an Associate in the Chicago office of Buckley LLP, where he represents corporate and individual clients in a wide range of litigation and enforcement matters, as well as in internal investigations.
Mr. Moynihan has worked on complex civil litigations, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) enforcement actions, matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and internal investigations. He also maintains an active pro bono practice and has defended tenants against improper eviction actions and represented a prisoner in a Section 1983 suit against a healthcare contractor for deliberate indifference to a serious medical need.
Prior to joining Buckley, Mr. Moynihan clerked for the Honorable Robert M. Dow, Jr. of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Before that, he was an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Mr. Moynihan received his J.D. from University of Chicago, and his B.A. from Washington University (summa cum laude, Phi Betta Kappa).
