SEC regulatory actions regarding cybersecurity is heating up as evidenced by the agency’s recently filed actions against Pearson PLC and First American Financial Corporation, as well as charges against eight SEC-registered advisory firms. Guest John Reed Stark offers an analysis of these actions and what they portend.

Stark, the former chief of the SEC Office of Internet Enforcement, is the founder of John Reed Stark Consulting LLC, currently teaches a cyber law course at Duke University Law School, and is the author of The Cybersecurity Due Diligence Handbook.
