Shara Chang Named to National Bar Association's 40 Under 40 List

Buckley Sandler LLP is pleased to announce that Shara Chang has been chosen to receive the “Nation’s Best Advocates: 40 Lawyers Under 40” award presented by the National Bar Association. The award recognizes the nation’s top lawyers under 40 who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, including in vision, innovation, leadership, and legal and community involvement.

Ms. Chang represents leading financial institutions and other corporate clients in connection with regulatory compliance matters, examinations, government investigations, and enforcement actions involving federal and state consumer protection laws. She has served in numerous leadership roles in local and national bar associations. Ms. Chang is currently secretary of the DC Bar, the second-largest unified jurisdictional bar in the country. She is also the immediate past president of GWAC (an affiliate chapter of the National Bar Association) and recently served as one of five ambassadors nationwide for the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section.

Ms. Chang and the other award recipients will be honored at the 40 Under 40 Awards luncheon on July 23, 2015, during the NBA’s 90th Annual Convention in Los Angeles, CA.

The National Bar Association was founded in 1925 and is the nation's oldest and largest national network of predominantly African-American attorneys and judges. It represents the interests of approximately 60,000 lawyers, judges, law professors and law students. The NBA is organized around 23 substantive law sections, 9 divisions, 12 regions and 80 affiliate chapters throughout the United States and around the world.
