Buckley Webcast: The future of consumer privacy is now

On January 1, 2020, California’s new privacy law legislation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, will go into effect and many businesses will have to comply with a number of requirements to collect and handle the personal information of consumers in California. Other states have introduced or enacted similar data privacy legislation and Congress has introduced several data privacy bills. Buckley discussed the CCPA and recent amendments along with common questions regarding the CCPA. The webcast also focused on recent federal and state privacy law developments and what businesses can do now to prepare for the compliance and operational requirements they will face.
